After birthday

Today is Monday. My coursemate songda let me chose ytd--either treat me supper last night to celebrate my birthday or treat me dinner tonight to celebrate my belated birthday. Of course i choose dinner la hahaha. We went to IMM to have an early dinner, coz i have to teach tuition at 730pm. Xiao tian recommend us to go to "Long Beach" seafood restaurant. Aiya the restaurant open at 6pm. By the time we ordered it's already 630pm. So i called boss to cancel the tuition lol.

Ok then what we ordered? Of course seafood la! We had a "奶皇螃蟹“ crab crab as our main course，this is strongly recommended by our coursemate xiao tian wow! We also ordered a spicy indonesian prawn and another XO sauce geoduck. Wah these seafood really so delicious lo!!! Know what is geoduck? Geoduck is not duck, it is a kind of clam. And songda checked wikipedia just now--Geoduck, like shark fin soup and black bear gall bladders, is highly regarded for its claimed physiological effect. In the case of geoducks it is the "enhancement of male performance". Hahahaha i should let him eat more, if i knew this earlier :p

Hohoho super satisfied with this dinner. If exam is not coming i will agree to have dessert after the dinner geh, nvm la study hard hard is also important. Thank you very muchie my friend! He said if it is not my 21st birthday he will only greet me by a simple sms, hohoho so i should thank to 21st also~

After i back hall, i got another chocolate cake from my cbe friend, thank you again! This year birthday really super fat, eat so much >.< Oh ya, last but not least, have to thank my mum also for the golden key that i "force" her to buy for me hahaha!

Presentation for computing project was just over, here comes another homework for computing. This homework is optional, but will give us extra 5% in our final marks if we submit. So yiling and shiqi decided to join me and tam to do the homework together. But i went for birthday celebration on friday. So i did not join the discussion. And then saturday morning i received an email from my computing group mates. They've decided to give me a very meaningful gift, that is to give me an easy task in the homework, so that i can spend more time on my celebration, hahahaha. Yiling also bought me a nice MNG shirt and a pretty birthday card. Love them very much ^_^

So i had dinner with my chong hwa highschool mates on saturday night. Miss chow chow and mr tang promised to celebrate for me, hahaha, so they treated me sushi tei in vivo. I shared the sashimi salad and sushi with chow chow. It was my first time to have sushi with mango topping, and that's yummy! They also bought a very delicious chocolate banana cake which must be ordered beforehand. This cake house in vivo really look very "ba bai", they only serve ppl who'd ordered, and there isn't any single slice of cake selling inside, i can only found a few boxes and wrappers and a cashing machine and two cashiers there. If they really don't intend to sell things there then why still waste money to open a shop leh?

After that i back to my hall and prepare for 12am. As usual, my groups seniors and my batch juniors will come to sing birthday songs. Hmm since this is exam period, can say quite a lot of people came, hahaha. But quantity is not important as long as i have my good friends with me >.< Another chocolate cake from my ex-squatter roomy choy ha, thank you so much. Thank you my dear sisters for the birthday cards too, i love the cute little angel. And thanks songda in advanced coz he is going to treat me dinner on monday hahahaha.

birthday celebration with sisters

Been planning to do this since i saw pui ee's birthday celebration :p Though i don't have so many friends and as rich as her, and everyone is now busy mugging to prepare for exam, i still want to do something like this. So me and baobao decided to dress up and have a nice dinner in somewhere with nice ambient yet affordable, to celebrate our birthdays. We searched restaurants in the internet and chose a cafe serves ribs, to compensate the regret that we never had ribs in usa >.<

So baobao and I went shopping in the afternoon, qi joined us for dinner. There was a business suited guy called Jeft approached us when we were walking on the street in orchard. He said he is looking for model for a don't know what company. We never really pay attention to what he was talking about because we think that's impossible for us to become model hahaha. I really think that he was asking the wrong person, and i still remember the first sentence i told him was "but we are so short", hahahaha sounds funny! Anyway he let us wrote down our name and contact number, let's see if anyone will call us uahahahaha~

We decided to have our dinner in Big O Cafe in orchard. Three of us shared a salad with roasted chicken and duck, and each of us ordered barbecued baby ribs as our main course. The ribs is yummy! And after that it's time for desserts. Qi and I wanted so much to try the durian cake called "Spike D", which is strongly recommended by the others. Baobao is anti-durian, so she chose a cake called pineapple upside down, something like that. I love the durian cake so much lol, though their cakes are a bit too sweet. The pineapple cake is just normal for me, probably the durian smell in my mouth was too overwhelming hahaha. After that we continued our shopping again. They bought me a nice espirit cap as birthday gift, i like it so much, thanks my dears.

Last week

Next week will be my last study week in year 3 sem 1, after that it will be my BIRTHDAY and Final EXAM!!!~~~This semester, everything ends late. Lab, tutorials, quizzes, projects and tons of homeworks. My last lab will be on next Monday, thanks to so many Monday public holidays this year :( Two CAs in the coming tues and wed, and computing project presentation in the coming fri. Project report submission in another week...and homeworks...and this and that...So stress man -.-lll

Oh my goodness!! Oh my goodness!!! Can't believe that i'm turning 21 in a week, hohohoho~~~Exam is around the corner but birthday celebration is a must XD Looking forward to that day yohoo!!!

怀念

刚刚从can 2走回房，走在那个长长的走廊，那个已经很久没有走过的走廊，对啊，自从2nd year搬到hall 15之后就很少走路到can 2吃饭了。走廊的灯还没开，可是天已经很黑了。抬头望望天空，灰灰黑黑的，经过hall3和16，黄黄的路灯照亮了整个马路。再走到我的hall12，白白的路灯像篮球场的spotlight一样，很刺眼。

我想起在yellowstone的时候，刚开始是多么的不习惯。那里的灯少得可怜，就算有也多数是黄黄的灯。晚上放工后，走回房的路是困难的，因为没有路灯。看见有人随身带手电筒和电话来照路，更是确定自己来到了一个偏僻的乡村地区。有时候会很期待天空下起厚厚的白雪，为我照亮眼前黑暗的路。久而久之，习惯了，就不觉得怎么样了。有时候抬头看看天空，看见很多很多的星星，一闪一闪的，还有很亮很亮的月亮，会觉得很开心很兴奋，很想拍下那么美丽的夜景给朋友家人看，告诉他们我来到了一个这么不可思议的地方。

虽然有时候会不小心踩到水，有时候路有点凹凸不平，有时候不小心踢到石头，虽然常常把鞋子踩进烂泥，整只脚插进雪地，把它磨得旧旧脏脏的，自己却很有满足感，这是证明了自己真正的享受大自然，享受爬山涉水的乐趣。

记得有一天，和朋友从employee pub走回宿舍的路上，那时候的路是很暗很暗的，天气也很冷很冷。走着走着，没有了那种伸手不见十指的感觉了，抬头望望，看见很长很大一片的银河，伴随着数以万计的星星，好美好美，真的，美得我不知道怎么去形容。那天，我再一次真正爱上天空。

白天的天空呢？精神奕奕。像棉花一样的云，一朵一朵的，有时候很有卡通云的感觉，有时候很可爱，蔚蓝的天空，衬托出的云朵是最漂亮的。蓝天白云，原来是这样的。而黄昏的云呢？富丽堂皇，浪漫优雅。金色的阳光从云朵中发散出来的，是令人惊叹的色彩，就像在天堂一样。很强很强的风不停的吹，云朵们也不停的变化形状，加上渐渐微弱的阳光，创造出来的是千变万化的美丽图案。曾经有很多个傍晚，我和宝晶会到喷泉旁野餐，欣赏那一幅幅让人舍不得把视线移开的夕阳。我好喜欢那里的天空。

很想再回到那个远离城市的地方，走在路上和每个不认识的人点头打招呼，摸一摸帅帅的拉布拉多犬的毛，和不怕生的小孩玩耍，在酒店lobby可以听听老uncle弹钢琴的优美旋律，好运时还会听到别人拉小提琴和uncle飙琴，听听去那里的游客们的故事，得空可以骑马，爬山，划船，吃便宜到爆的Haagen Daaz。总有一天，我一定要找机会回去那里。

Hall 12

This is the best hall I ever stay, because it is super near to school, makes me never late to school this semester hohoho! And they give me a nice roommate, this is what i appreciate the most!

However, they are going to renovate this hall during this december =.= How unlucky i am! So i have to move out in early december and move in again in january. During this period, i've chosen to squat in baobao's room, since she said that she will not come back to singapore during december :p

The renovation works include installation of air-con, changing of flooring, lighting, ceiling fans, wardrobes, bed frames, mattresses and mosquito netting, curtains and painting of the walls. I wonder how can they complete all these in one month. Omitofo, hope that they can make it, and provide us the best hall in ntu(better than hall 3 & 16) after the renovation.

luxurious weekend

I went for painted skin with choy ha last saturday. It is a nice movie, zhou xun is so so so pretty. In comparison, zhao wei lose a lot behind. About the storyline, i just wonder why the general not tempted by the "foxie" in the end. Because i hope zhou xun can have a good ending hahaha :p

This friday i went for mama mia with qi. Also a very nice movie, but it reminds me the mama mia musical show in las vegas. That was really awesome, i even think that the musical show 's actors can sing a lot better than the actors in movie. After the movie we met pei yu dinner in kfc, and went shopping in imm later on. Bought a 10 bucks trousers in S&K. Oh man how come S&K become so cheap, long pants only sell at 10 dollars =.= is it really SHE 's represented brand?

Saturday, i have two gathering. One is chong hwa gathering bbq in ntu, another is yellowstone gang gathering. I chose to join the latter one. So we dinner in ichiban restaurant in suntec, the food there was good, and the environment was also comfortable. All of us chit chatted about our journey in usa, and our life after that. Later on, some decided to continue the gathering in esplanade, some decided to go back to school earlier. I feel quite tired and made up my mind to go back to school. Had a small talk with tang wei, found that this guy is a very nice and friendly china guy. He is not the kind of irritating china ppl who always talk super loudly in public area. lol.

Sunday, gathering with yellowstone china gang. We had steamboat buffet in bugis. I don't really like the place, it was too hot and crowded. And the food was not worth the price. However i enjoyed talking with them, oh ya, this is my first time hanging out with china ppl. Heard some gossip from margeret - james bought a 500 bucks necklace for the girl he is wooing. Wow he is really super generous. James really geng, he also planning to go back to yellowstone and work as a server next yr. Hope he can earn much much money then.

Omg! I have big big dinner in these three days continuously. No wonder i found that i'm getting rounder and rounder recently. Should go swimming next week, to burn some fat away, hahaha~

my squatter roomy

In mid of August, choy ha was found legally swapping by the hall 14 officer. She was evicted by hall 14, and as a results, she squatted legally in my room. As a legal squatter, she was only given a room key and a mattress. Almost every night, we sleep at the same time together, with her mattress on the floor beside my bed. We have our meals together, chit-chatted together, go gai gai together aa well. She was so worried that she'll disturb me and my roomy as a squatter. That's why she will go computer room every night to do her stuff, go out to school every early morning and buy a lot of things for us to eat. In fact, we are very happy staying together with her.

My roomy, ying yan is a nice girl, but she always not staying at room, and usually don't come back to sleep during weekend. What about my dear sisters in ntu? worm went to norway, wen qi always pak toh and go home, baobao always study and go home. So i become quite close with choy ha during this period. Life in ntu become not so boring with her. She is a very important companion for me. The first time in ntu i had 3 meals with the same person in the same canteen :p That's with her. She is really a nice senior and nice friend.

Yesterday i was told that she got her room finally. It is in hall 2 block 3. A bit far away from my hall. Actually, in deep of my heart, i feel quite unwilling and disappointed. I hope she can stay together with me for longer time, though i know that staying in my room is quite inconvenient for her. She doesn't have her own table, own cupboard own bed and cannot use her own computer.

Wish choy ha jie jie really got her luck back, got a nice roomy and all the best in her fyp lahhhhh. I will miss the days with her in hall 12.

after recess

I kept wondering why all of my third year friends so busy in the first half sem but not me. Then i realized that almost everyone had tons of projects to do. For my course, first half sem results is assessed by CA, which is mid-term exam. That's y i was so "free" compare to other ppl. But now is second half sem already, so now is my turn to do projects T_T. Frankly, i prefer CA to project. Haiiz, hope can team with nice project mate this time la.

Stress and panic overwhelmed the moment i back to ntu. I am shortlisted for IA interview on next tuesday, 330pm. Hold on, tuesday? 330pm? I think i have a CA on tuesday. Ya, the elective -psychology of crisis stress management, at 5.45pm. Shit! Shit! Shit! Can i back to ntu on time? I have no idea. Can I skip the CA? 40% of total marks, will fail in final if i skip, though I've put SU option. How come I so lucky =.=

What I want to do during recess week? Besides shopping, sleeping, eating, another important thing is to see saw shin yin 's new boyfriend...Hohoho!!! But right now, have to study hard hard for my CA, and submit my formal report before recess. Gambate!!!

Another job

SA is a very special short form name for me. It represents "senior attached" in orientation camp, "student assistant" in library and "server assistant" in yellowstone national park. Yup, I've been named SA for a couple of times these two years. During this beginning of September, i got another job -teach tuition, thanks to qi and cg...lol. The working hour will be less, and the pay is better than working as SA in library. Have to try my best not to be fired by the parents, haha gambate in the new semester!!!

Industrial Attachment (IA)

This week, we have to write resume & choose IA company. Finally, my IA is approaching. Some say IA life is syok, some say IA life is tiring, some say IA can learn a lot, some say IA very "zo bo"...and then...some say must choose IA regarding to the fyp we want, some say must choose the job we like, some say must choose the highest pay company, some say must consider the location...so i began to look through my choices...

wow...quite happy when i see a lot of companies, so i look at all the project descriptions. Heard seniors said that usually one project will hire one student only. However we have 93 projects in total, and our batch only has 70+ students, so no need to worry too much. There are 19 interviewing companies and 3 non-interviewing companies. We can put 9 choices, first choice must put interviewing company and the rest must put non-interviewing. That mean we can only put 4 choices, however one of the non-interviewing company only hire NS ppl, so I can only put 3. I asked my seniors about their company last yr. Hui heng, qing wen and shi hua applied for ICES (research company) while jian chow applied electronic company. ICES got 66 projects for us this yr, but all biomaterial and chemical things, i don't want to do research, so i decided not to follow them. Ok, let's start with the interviewing companies...

S`pore Therapeutic, Assistive & Rehabilitative Technologies, design wheelchair wor...very interesting! But when i search the location from streetdirectory, oh man, really super far far away, i think to and fro need more than or about 4 hours. Aih, no choice, have to give up this. Biosensors interventional technologies, same location with the wheelchair, give up. Biosensors international, located in kallang, to and fro need 3 hours, give up again. Janssen-Cilag, a division of Johnson & Johnson, very popular, a lot of ppl apply last yr but only one ppl get...aiks...give up. Wyeth nutritionals - manufacturing of infant formulas...same reason with jassen-cilag. Aih left a few choices, have to choose research company.Finally i found something, i choose Bioprocessing Technology, located in biopolis, not far not near, do something about antibody in e.coli. But then today morning, maya (my pretty indonesian coursemate) told me that she is applying for this, oh shit oh shit, her results super good, how can i compete with her, the chance to be shortlisted for interview also will be super low if she apply the same thing with me. T_T. What should i do now??!!! DSO (national lab) - hire singaporean only =.= Biocomputing company - must know java,C++,matlab and bla bla bla, i never learn lor. And then...and then....i choose ICES. Located in Jurong Island, every weekdays got shuttle service at boonlay, high pay, can learn a lot of things...that is what i heard from ppl. Last few days still very stubborn, say what i don't want to apply research company, don't want to follow my seniors' step,this and that, then now...lol

Well, i choose the project about formulation of pharmaceutical powder. Hope that i can get my choice, being shortlisted for interview, succeed in my interview, have a nice supervisor, and get a good grade next year la...pray for me :p

3rd year

School starts again!! I skipped the first whole week school right after i came back from usa. Later on, everything back to normal. This year, i'm so happy to have prof poh as my biomedical imaging and signal processing lecturer. He is a good looking young prof, lol...o don't know if he is singaporean or msian, but the most important thing is, he teaches very well. Everything become interesting and easier to understand with him, this makes me never skip his lectures and tutorials until now. And surprisingly, last week was the first time i did lab report all by myself, hahahaha, i know how to do everything, i even tried the bonus question. Guess what?! the first lab have to be done by MATLAB, my nightmare...but then...hohoho i completed the report ^_^ So i really sincerely hoping ntu not to hire prof from china. They really don't know what is "teaching". They are the disaster to ntu student!

This week is week 4. CA is going to start at week 6 & 7. However, i never touch my lecture notes until now...damn slack :p. Hmm keep missing my life in yellowstone T_T ohh my beatiful nature~

I'm back !!!

After we left yellowstone, we began our travel journey. It was happy, but tiring. I didn't even have time to write blog, or to see my pictures. I wish i could write everything down, but the memory is not that fresh anymore...lol

Ok, our first stop is Las Vegas. We took plane from bozeman to vegas airport, and waited 3 hours in aiport for baojing's friend, weepoh who will travel together with us. Then we reached our hostel, called AAE Todds. Not a very nice place for me, as the hotel in bozeman was too good :p . After the check in procedure, we went to the old town of Vegas, to visit the Fremont street. We had an expensive buffet dinner in the Golden Nugget hotel...hohoho...the food was super delicious. I still remembered the big big strawberries and a lot of dessert that i bet no one will be able to finish them in one meal. After dinner we walked along the Fremont street, watched the very famous skyshow that Faith strongly recommended. First night in Vegas, i experienced the city life which is totally different from yellowstone. Everything was so colourful that it made my eyes couldn't stop blinking, and my mind couldn't stop accepting the new things.

2nd day. We started to explore the hotels. We took bus to the end of the "strip area" and visit every hotel one by one. OH MY GOODNESS~ Almost all hotels have their own theme, own design and own attraction. Everything was so beautiful. I love the music fountain show of Bellagio hotel very much. It was like someone dancing ballet very gracefully in front of u, touched ur heart with her performance. At the end of the show, the only word i wanna say is "Bravo!!" We also went to the top of paris hotel to watch the show at night. The night scene in vegas is super great. Really really amazing!

3rd day. Continue exploring the hotels. I was greatly impressed by The Venetian hotel which is a tiny Venice in vegas. At night, we went to watch an expensive show "Mama Mia". Wah very geng lo...the actors and actress sang and acted so good!!!

Vegas is a great place, especially for adults who are above 21. All the hotels have casino and nice buffet, and the night life there is really amazing, can say 越夜越精彩, until u forget what time to sleep and rest. However, for ppl who are below 21 like us, we couldn't book the nice and cheap hotel, we couldn't gamble, we might enjoy less thing compare to adults. So we couldn't do and try a lot of things because we are still underage. And we need to move our room everyday because our booking had some problem. This caused us wasted a lot of time, and then we couldn't go to vegas shopping outlet. Greyhound bus service is also sucks. This is the only thing that i'm very unsatisfied in usa.

So, the third night in vegas, we headed to los angeles by greyhound bus. The journey was torturing as the bus seat is really uncomfortable and crowded. The hostel in LA is like hotel. I like it very much. But the only problem is, we didn't have water supply there. And the indian receptionist know nothing. U ask her anything...she will reply u "i don't know"=.= We reached LA at 7am. After checked in, we went to hollywood universal studio. WAH WAH WAH, it was super fun!!! The shows were great, super super great!!! However, the distance between our hostel and universal studio cost us USD120 cab fees. Oh heartache T_T.

The second day, we went to disney adventure park. Disney adventure park is like an amusement park. It was fun, but my favourite is still the shows. Third day, disneyland. Wah it was super big that we couldn't finish visiting the whole disneyland in one day. The shows were more attracting, more charming and more amazing. My favourite is the fireworks behind the castle. Really really wonderful. Americans are so lucky to have these. Fourth day, shopping outlet!!! The distance is too far away. So we took 5 hours to go to the outlet center. We only had 5 hours to shop. Really not enough. We end up buying a lot of branded thing, but still not enough time to shop everything. I still have a lot of things to buy...but no time...aiks. Fifth day, Disneyland again! Finally we finished playing almost all the games, visiting all the attractions, taking all the photos and watching all the nice shows in half day. Guess what? We met liqi and shuyuan them half way. Met our yellowstone friends there also. LOL, what a coincidence! We watched the fireworks again at night...oh man..i love it so much!!!

The next day, we took amtrak train to our third stop which is San diego. Amtrak is very very good, 100% better than greyhound. Our hostel didn't have escalator T_T. We need to drag our heavy luggage to 4th floor, and we need to use public restroom to bath. But good thing is, we can have free breakfast in the hostel.

Our first day in San diego, we went to Seaworld. Wah wah wah, another great place to visit. I love to watch the shows very very very much!!! And again, we met liqi them...hahaha!! 2nd day, we went to the largest zoo in the world (told by shu yuan =.=) We can choose to visit either zoo or wild animal park with our city pass. Baojing and me wanted to go to wild animal park. But then finally we changed to zoo because shu yuan said it is a very famous attraction. I think the zoo is not very fun. But some funny things happened too. I guess that day is the sex period for animals. We saw tortoise had sex. And giraffe, the male giraffe kept pulling out its sex organ and wanted to make sex with the female giraffe. However, the shy female giraffe rejected him for hours already. We waited there for about 1 hour to see them make sex...lol...but finally we gave up. The organ really disgusting...me and baojing decided not to eat hotdog for half year after that =.=

That evening, we went to downtown of san diego for a walk. The scenery at the wharf was nice and comfortable. At night, our nightmare arrived. Greyhound. The bus drove from san diego to LA, we had to transfer bus to go to san francisco. The first bus late for one and half hour. We missed the bus to SF and need to wait 4 more hours for another bus. @#$%! It caused us wasted half day in san francisco. Yucks i hate greyhound.

New hostel is nice, even though we also have to use public restrooms. Free breakfast provided too. The first day in san francisco, we went to fisherman's wharf, visited wax museum and walked along the wharf. Weird thing is, the shops closed very early. Even downtown of SF, the shops closed at 9sth. So nothing much to see at night. Second day, we took a ship to watch the very famous golden gate bridge in SF. We wanted to visit Alcatraz prison on the island but the tickets sold out. After that we went to chinatown. To my surprise, a lot of shops closed at 6pm. Surprisingly early @_@. 3rd day, we bike to golden gate bridge. The scenery was fantastic along the bicycle trail. The bungalows along the bridge are all very pretty and unique. Baojing kept saying that she wanted to stay in SF and open a chinese medicine shop there in the future...lol. We went to chinatown again to buy ginseng and had dinner. Later on we walked to Lombard street to see the very special road in SF. San francisco is really a beautiful place, with beautiful buildings, beautiful streets and beautiful wharf.

Finally, my usa journey come to an end. I can't believe it! Oh my goodness, 3 months gone. I headed to taiwan with a very weird feeling. I don't know whether i feel sad or what. But i'm very sure that i will miss usa very very much. I will miss yellowstone life, my new friends and the very precious experience that i had in this country.

Taipei. Jiayen's passport got problem. So left me and baobao travel together, and shu yuan will join us in the second day. My cousin call ah yen, english name is christina. We stayed in her house in taipei. The first two days in taipei, we went shopping and eating with her. She is so kind to us that we didn't even spend a single cent in food and cab fees. She knows nike manager in taipei. We bought nike with 50% discount...wah so syok!!! She brought us to a lot of shopping places. But those shops are very expensive compare to usa, we end up buy nothing in taiwan...lol

The third day, baojing, shuyuan and I go to Danshui. We went to the fisherman's wharf and the old street to eat things. Hmm...fisherman's wharf is not fun...compare to usa. The food not bad, but weather was too hot, we had not much mood to eat and play. The stupid weather made us very tired. However, we met a nice aunty half way. She treated us "muachi" and chit-chatted with us in a restaurant. The fourth day, we went to Jiufen. The most attracting thing is food. We eat non-stop along the street, bought a bit souvenirs, took a bit pictures, hmm my conclusion is, jiufen better than danshui...lol

So this is really the end of my travel journey. School started, i skipped one week to go home, no hostel, stress come back again T_T But i gained a lot from work and travel. Oh, wish i could have chance to go again.

Last few days

14th

Today after working breakfast, we went cycling to lonestar geyser. Our last trip in old faithful. It was fun, but super tiring. My butt so pain after this. Oh my god, last second day already. We started to pack a lot of things and take pictures with every of our friends. ^_^

15th

Hohoho last day working as server assistant. Almost everyone knows that we are leaving on wednesday because we kept taking pictures with everyone. :p After the breakfast shift, we saw marcia (the mama manager) preparing for the server briefing for lunch. We told her that we are going to leave, and will miss her very much...and bla bla bla...Oh my goodness, she cried!!! I never know that she is such a sentimental person. Touch T_T. And a lot of servers and server assistants gave us hugs and kisses. We exchanged email address with them. Aiya but i didn't see aaron and mike. Haven't take pictures with these two kind servers lor...coz they are not working. Amanda kept "bian zui" for two whole morning lor...so cute! And our daddy - Joe, our nice friends from ukraine - natasha, olga, inna, jenean and michelle, robyn, trang, christina and a lot of other ppl...i will miss them very very much T_T

16th

Today morning woke up super early to complete our final paper work before we leave. We were told that the shuttle bus will leave at 1030am. We went to EDR to have our breakfast with rachel. Hohoho the very nice aunty susie purposely cooked chocolate chip pancake for us...yummy!!~~ She is very nice, and cooks very well. We always go EDR for her breakfast. Especially every monday and friday...we will have chocolate chip pancake. Her french toast and cheese omlet also delicious. ^_^ Rachel also very good. She accompany us to do a lot of things before we leave. Hope that we can still be good friends in ntu.

After we reached bozeman, we met a guy from grant village (last time we joined the employee's trip together for twice). He drove his friends to holiday inn. So i asked him to picked us to Ross to shop. Wahahahhaha...i bought a DKNY handbag for mummy, a Guess handbag for myself. After that we went to a chinese restaurant called panda buffet to have our dinner. Again...very very nice. And we were super full. Our last shopping stop is Walmart. Baobao bought her i-touch and i bought ipod shuffle. Hohoho now holiday inn network super fast...very happy...later 545am have to take shuttle to airport and heading to las vegas lor!!! YEAH my travel journey started ~~~

9th-11th july

9th

Today is Wednesday. Breakfast shift. One of the server, Trang (america-born-vietnamnese) talked to me when we both walked into the kitchen.

Trang : When is ur off day?
Me : Thursday and Friday. (hers is friday and saturday)
Trang : Bla bla bla....motor boat in yellowstone lake...bla bla bla...do u want to go together?
Me : Oh my goodness!!! How do u know i want to go???!!!
Trang : Huh?
Me : Me and jing (baobao) want to go for it before we leave here (p/s : remember our big plan? :p) ...bla bla bla
Trang : Ok then next friday we go tgt...bla bla bla
Me : Oh no...too bad...we are leaving on next wed...
Trang : Ohhh....i'm planning to go to grand teton with kendra this week...stay overnight there...bla bla bla
Me : (disappointed)

Trang : Ok we are going to lake tomorrow. I'll see u in EDR at 11.45am.
Me : OHHHHHHHH (Super happy)

10th

Hohoho, MOTOR BOAT!!! Before we go, we met rachel in EDR. They are not going to bunsen peak because kelun not feeling well. So we asked Trang if we can squeeze one more ppl into her car or not. Yeah, she said she doesn't mind. So Kendra (another server) drove us there and we rent a motor boat in bridge bay marina. Wow they brought beers lor...and they were like quite surprised when we told them that all of us are underage :p. But we didn't care la...still got drink a bit...lol. We chit-chatted a lot with Trang. She is super talkative. However, Kendra is quiet and cool. She just listen to us and drink her beer. I think she quite enjoy also la. All of us had so much fun there ^_^

When we back to old faithful, we asked them to have dinner together. But both of them sounds like didn't want to eat EDR's food. Then they dropped us in laurel (our dorm) and back to bitterroot (Trang said she wanna have beer first wor...then only eat dinner). They said they will come to meet us in half an hour.

Surprisingly, they went back to bitteroot to get RICE and RICE COOKER!!! Somemore, soy sauce and CHILLI SAUCE!!!Wahahahaha....so syok!!! (coz americans don't eat spicy thing, we only have ketchup here T_T) So we cook rice and tried to find something else to eat. Me and baobao went to EDR to steal veges :p. Luckily, i met jenean in uniform in the toilet. She was hosting. I asked her to get one box to go in the kitchen for me...lol. So we had brocolli and carrot with rice for dinner. And chilli sauce~ It was YuMmY!!!!!

Trang really love alcohol very much. She bought a vodka and a lot of beers from general store. So after dinner, we had our "alcohol night". We got some juices from EDR and mix them with vodka. After that we drank beers too. I drank just a little because i didn't want to be drunk. I poured a lot of grape juice with a little vodka...hohoho...smart ler. However, Rachel down at 7 something. She vomitted all the carrot out after the alcohol effect. Baobao fell asleep at 8sth. Trang drank most of the beers after that. She had more than 10 cans of beer and half bottle of vodka. She couldn't stop talking...really talk non stop lor...Kendra, jiayen and me were the most awake one hahaha...And Trang made us promised that we will have a "drunk night" before we leave yellowstone...T_T oh my goodness~

After they left, we bathed and prepared for Dawn and louise's farewell party. They are leaving tomorrow. We called it "junk food night". We brought all our snacks to their room and planning to finish them that night. However, Dawn and Louise hadn't done their packing. We gathered in kailun and terrence's room until 12sth. We had some biscuits and chips. They open beer and wine again. Shit, wanna vomit after the alcohol dinner lo...So me, baobao and rachel just lied on the bed and ate a bit snacks only.

11th

Today ke lun is going to pick Dawn and Louise to Bozeman. Me, baobao, jenny, kailun and Sze ying followed his car to shop in Bozeman. After they settled their admin procedure, we depart at 1pm. We went to Ross first. I bought two pretty dress and a shirt there. Oh yeah and i bought a watch for my dad. Kenneth Cole one. Hmm at first i wanna buy fossil one. But everyone told me that the Kenneth Cole is better...so i listened to their advice lor...hope my dad like it la...

Then we went to The Mall. Only got one hour there. So i just window shopping and bought a USD 1.5 bath and body works lotion. Super cheap. Then we had our dinner in a chinese restaurant. Margeret recommended this restaurant to us before. Hohoho she said the boss is Penang ppl lor...but we didn't meet him. We had the real chinese food finally...wahahahaha...yummy~

And then, our last stop is walmart. Baobao and me bought the ziploc to pack our luggage. We back to the hotel after everything. Dawn and Louise failed to book the hotel in San francisco tomorrow. So they kept checking online until 1am. And we reached old faithful at 4.30am. Just now baobao and me met shan er in the bathroom lor...we were going to sleep but she was going to work...lol. Ok la...i finish my story la...good night~

6th july - beach party

Tonight all of us work dinner. And after dinner, it's the beach party in pub. Hohoho my very first time to a pub. Everyone is like crazy, dance crazily, drink crazily, kiss and hug crazily. It was terribly crazy. Those taiwan girls...really geng lor...u will never expect to see them act that crazily during working. And the prettiest buffet girl from china, oh my goodness, really "mou ngan tai". Americans really very open, Ukrainese and taiwannese also not better...lol...we took a lot pictures and videos that night...u will understand what i mean if u c the photos...but too bad...i couldn't access to facebook for a very long time already :p

6th july

Another employee's trip again. This time we are going to hike to wapiti lake in canyon village. Not very fun this time, because there were a lot of mosquitoes, and the wapiti lake trails is 16 miles @_@. We didn't go to the lake in the end. Just walked the nearer trails, nothing much special. But we saw grizzly bear on the way, phew luckily just one bear, so it dare not to attack us. It ran away quickly when it saw us. We took a lot of photos with the pretty flowers along the trail. The scenery was quite nice, just this trip didn't have a climax spot lol. However, we had fun too la...this is the last trip with faith because she is leaving on monday.

At night, we went to dining room to have dinner. There were 5 of us only (me, baobao, faith, jiayen and jenean) because other ppl all working at that night. Our appetizers are crab cake and buffalo wings. Then me and baobao shared the pork osso bucco. Faith had the ribeye bison. Jenean had pizza from kid's menu. Overall it was quite delicious la...but super full :p. We took a lot of pictures with the servers that night. I was so so so happy hohoho. Finally i took a photo with the "matrix" Jonathan, my favourite handsome Kevin O (he got a bit look like daniel wu lol) and baobao's super charming gentleman Keith (also very handsome). And also the very nice Christina with her boyfriend Brian, strong and pretty lady Cassie, my "best friend" Jennifer and many other servers.

I couldn't stop laughing after i had my photo with Kevin. Baobao was so jealous that she said she wants her own picture with Andy G, Keith and Kevin next time. LOL. Hmm me too...hahaha...Kevin looks more handsome when he is not in uniform. I must take photos with the 4 most handsome guys ( Jacob, Andy G, Keith and Kevin) and pretty lady servers (Nicole, Jordan P, Cassie and Becky) in dining room before i leave here...hohoho!!! And another cute server,Mike who is very childish (he always call baobao as "jingjing", me as "zhizhi", and i call him "mickey" :p)

When we back to our room, we drank red wine to celebrate again lol. Hmm finally we are going to leave this place. Feel very lucky to know a lot of good friends here, especially like Faith, rachel, Dawn and Terrence. ^_^

3th-4th july : Roosevelt and horseback riding

Initially four of us planning to hike to summit lake which is about 9 miles away, but then rachel asked us to go roosevelt with her, terrence and kelun. So 7 of us go to roosevelt together by ke lun's car.

We went to tower falls. However the trails was in bad condition, we didn't walk the trail. I bought a very nice winter clothe with super cheap price...so happy~ Then we headed to roosevelt. On the way, we saw BEARS!!!!~~~ A mummy bear with a little cub...sooooooo cute!!!!!! We took a lot of videos and photos before the ranger came to warn us not to go near to them.

Yup...then we reached roosevelt. I rushed to the front desk and saw an employee with a name tag which written MALAYSIA! The first thing i did was to ask him where is moong kok wai. Oh yeah finally i found him...HE IS STILL ALIVE!!!!! but poor kok wai! stuck in a little place with no internet connection. Work very hard under the sunlight. Somemore the EDR food sucks...force us to have our lunch in the dining room. Erm kok wai is still ok la...haven't eaten by bear bear...just skin color become darker...so no need to worry about him.

The good thing is, he found a second job in horse corrals. He had to spend three months in roosevelt with bears(roosevelt got a lot of bears lor) and horses. And it was damn hot there that all of us got sunburnt when we back to old faithful. Before we left, kok wai gave me the hotel bear bath soup and lotion as a gift...lol. He said he will come to old faithful to find me, but i'm leaving soon...so i dunno we got chance to meet onot lo....

4th

Today is USA national day. All of them will go jackson town to celebrate and see fireworks. However me and baobao will go for our big plan -- HORSEBACK RIDING!!!~~~ First, we hopped into the circle of fire tour bus to canyon village. Made friend with a taiwan girl (page) and another guy from a country (but i forgot its name) in the bus. Saw a cayote(??some kind of fox) along the road. Second, we requested for the riding time changing from 545pm to 145pm. Wohoo then we walked for 20 minutes to the horse corrals and began our riding. Before that, we saw elk with horn...wowowow pretty elky...very lucky to see that lo. And then we met a china uncle who had a lot of experience with horseback riding. He instructed baobao a lot because she couldn't control her horse well. And the cowboy guide was so so so handsome lol. He kept hanging around us because baobao's horse kept eating grass and she was a bit panicked about it.

My horse called Sandy. She is a cute little horse. I let her to eat the grass for a while in the middle. When she realized that we were left behind, she ran towards baobao's horse. Wow this scared me and made me screamed loudly. LOL after that the handsome guide came to me and asked me what happened lor. After the scary experience i didn't dare to let it to eat grass anymore,ket pulling the rope tightly...poor sandy :p

We chatted a lot with the china uncle. We told him that we have no transport to back to old faithful. Both of us planning to hitch-hike :p And here comes the luckiest day in my life. That uncle had a car! At first he wanna drop us in the junction of the road in grant village because he is going down to town...But when we showed him the map, he said, "aiya, so near only (actually the map mentioned one hour ride)...i fetch u two back to old faithful la...bla bla bla~~!" Wahhhh we didn't even need to hitch hike lor...can go back to old faithful so easily...muahahahhahahaha

We found that the uncle really super rich. He said he got business in australia, singapore, USA and a lot of other countries. He got a 100 million bungalow in melbourne, and houses in singapore and china (Xi An). He's been to a lot of countries in europe, usa, australia and afrika...i really couldn't imagine how rich he is. Super geng!!! Somemore so nice to us...picked us back to old faithful...hohoho

When we back to old faithful, we realized that everyone is going to jackson for the celebration. We met james (a china guy who helped me a lot during working) in the dorm and went to his room to chat. It was so fun chatting with him lol...i laugh till stomachache~ And then Anny (a taiwan girl we met few days ago) gave us two packet of taiwan maggie mee. Great~Hohoho today is really a happy and lucky day ^_^

27th june - bunsen peak and osprey falls in mammoth

Yeah, Baobao, jia yen, terrence and I joined the employee trip. The lady (rachel) who drove us is the staff from grant village. Four of us and 8 other grant village employees headed to mammoth by van.

This trip is a hiking trip to Bunsen peak in Mammoth. It was super damn tiring lorrr...and scary...especially the Osprey falls trail, it was really steep. Me and baobao nearly died on the way lol. However, we had a lot of fun there. We met an uncle called Bob. He chatted with us in the old faithful inn lobby yesterday morning while we were waiting for the circle of fire tour. What a coincidence! We met on the way to osprey falls. Then he hiked together with us and became our guide in this trip. He was really geng lor. He is a pharmacist, 55 yrs old, and he came to yellowstone for 15 times already. He said this is the fourth time he hike to osprey falls. Wow so strong, and he even talked phone loudly while we were walking on the super steep trail. We saw two rainbows in the osprey falls, and we were very near to the falls that all of us got wet along the trail. The trail was quite dangerous. I couldn't stop imagine that I will die along the trail. Phew, luckily i survived in the end.

It was such a long journey to go back to the parking lot. Baobao walked till face white white, and I'm not better than her too. I had a lot of raspberry horn stuck in my fingers, and my leg was really super tired. And everyone was so thirsty because we didn't have enough water. However, it is worth to join this trip as we had taken a lot of beautiful photos and videos...hohoho...thanks to terrence. Hmm...but i couldn't upload photos to facebook recently...lousy network in laurel dorm :<

28th

Met Dejan in EDR. He work dinner shift yesterday night. That was his first day as a real server assistant. Finally he ended his trainee life. But, poor dejan shared bus stand with the legendary barbie doll, Oleksandra (jia yen's favourite). He said it was sucks. LOL~ I mentioned this girl in my previous post. She is pretty, and look like barbie. But the thing is, u will vomit blood if u work with her. (except jiayen :p) Dejan told us that "she is pretty, but stupid". Haiz poor him, first dinner shift spoilt. But that's life. lol

Today i worked for anthony again. Good ^_^. Baobao worked for jennifer, she said jennifer became very good already wor...kept clearing the plates for her, and even bus table for her. However, I still don't wish to work for her because i've had serious trauma last time :p. What baobao told me couldn't change my impression to her.

Tomorrow we are going to dining room to have lunch. We are going to celebrate the leaving of legendary SA no.1 - Lin from china. Hohoho very bad right? I guess rachel and kai lun will be very happy about that. Why? because Lin is their "best friend"!!! Kai lun quarrelled with her for many times during working lol. Her attitude is really annoying that all of us dislike her very much. She always walk with a funny pose and refuse to carry big trays. Then she will use the small tray to carry as many things as she can. For example, she will sink the coffee cups in the water glasses just to avoid using her shoulders to carry big trays. LOL~ her walking pose is really funny that she make me couldn't stop laughing when i see her. She is very dirty too. Always mix the kichen towel and napkins together in the bus stand. And put the sanitizer everywhere. I told her that it is dirty...and she replied me, " don't u think that it is more convenient?" =.= tak boleh tahan her...luckily she is leaving tmr...hohoho

Ops...back to our lunch topic. Yeah finally i can try the buffalo wings tmr. Yummy yummy. Next week before Faith leave yellowstone, we will have dinner in dining room too. Hmm...can't believe i'm going to leave too. Three more weeks wow~

Make a new friend today. His name is Dejan, but the pronunciation is "Dae Yan". He is a super funny guy. I've learned a lot of italian language from him lol. After breakfast and lunch shifts today, i went hiking with baobao and faith. We went to morning glory again. The scenery was totally different with last time. I remember when we first came here, it snowed all along the trail. But now? It's summer!!! Wohoo~~ no more snow mountain, and flowers growing everywhere.

When we walked back to our dorm, we met Taina ( Finland ) and Dejan. Ops forgot to introduce Dejan, he comes from a country which is near to italy. It is so difficult to remember the country name, but he said his country is in chicken shape...so i called it "chicken country" lol. He treated us M&M and Haagen Daaz ice cream. We bought a bucket of cookies and cream flavour and enjoy it in our room. It was so happy when we chit chatting about our "best friends". Hahaha...do u know what we mean by "best friend"? Hmm...for example, jennifer is my "best friend"; Lin is rachel's "best friend"; johnny is baobao's "best friend"...got it? ok i will explain..."best friend" means the person we hate the most in our working place...hahaha....Dejan was so funny that he made us kept laughing all the night.

25th

Breakfast shift today. Anthony was so good to me that he carried all the big trays for me...hohoho...but it ended up with a little tips. Baobao was with Joe. He always say me and baobao are his daughters...lol...and he said we are like twins =.= Totally different face lo...i dunno why they always mistake both of us.

After dinner, me and baobao decided to go biscuit basin for a picnic. Jiayen very lazy, he didn't want to hike anymore. So both of us grabbed the packed lunch from EDR(employee dining room) and headed to biscuit basin. Wahhh we walked very fast lor, just took about 45 minutes to reach there. And then we saw the signboard written "1 mile to mystic falls". We decided to have picnic there. Wow only took about 15-20 minutes to mystic falls. However, there were so many mosquitoes buzzing around us. It was just too horrible until we cannot tahan. We ran back to biscuit basin but things didn't get better. Finally we gave up and walked back to old faithful.

When we walked on the geyser trail, we found that the mosquitoes gone. Probably because the geyser is too hot lol...We chose one of the bench and had our picnic there. We were so enjoyed that we had snacks in the packed lunch while watching the beautiful sunset. Suddenly, the plume geyser beside us erupted. Wow that really startled us lor....it erupted for 5 times. We didn't expect the eruption because it really depends on our luck to see some of them to erupt. Both of us think that we are so so so lucky~~~

26th

Today we accompanied jiayen to go for "circle of fire" tour again. Hohoho finally we can join the tour again. Same bus driver, same places to visit...but we had a lot of fun too. Each of us bought 3 very nice and cheap photo frame from the general store in canyon village.We met two taiwan guys who started their job here two days ago. Then me and baobao got a lot of big big plan again. Hahaha...our big plan really geng. Initially we planned to go mammoth for horseback riding these two days. However it failed because of accomodation and money problem. We couldn't stay in the dorm because it is full. And if we wanna stay in the hotel, it will cost us a lot of money. We thought of camping there, but we were told that we have to get a permit to camp. And the transportation problem also made us very headache, so finally we cancelled it.

However, after the "circle of fire" tour, we came up with a lot of big plans. We thought of rowing boat in grant village and had our horseback riding in canyon village. Hahahaha but these are just planning lar...we don't know if out plans work or not because transportation is too inconvenient. But we will try our best to do these before we leave here...wahahahahaha~~~ Wish us luck la!

20th june

Grand Teton National Park!!! My dream place...wohooo~~

Today morning at 7.30am, we headed to grand teton. It was so excited!!! Our first stop is Swan lake. We took a little hike into the jungle and met visitors doing horseback riding there. Ahhh make me want it so bad to ride a horse!!! The swan lake was nice. We took a lot of panaromic photos hohoho~

After swan lake, we headed to signal mountain to watched jackson hole on top of the mountain. Wahhhhh the snow mountains was just soooooo sooooo sooooooo beautiful. Great scenery! It was really amazing to view the superb scenery. I love the reflexion of snow mountain in the water sooooooooo much~~~

Then we went to jenny lake. We hiked 1.7 miles along the mountains to the hidden falls. Wah wah wah it was super fantastic!!! So cool to be there. We even took boat to go back to the east deck of jenny lake. lol

The conclusion for this trip is : SUPER GREAT!!!!! I love grand teton so much that i wish i could have chance to go there again ^_^

17th-18th May

Today is our first day to work as dish washers. At first me and baobao kept playing and laughing, but when the dinner peak hours reached, we worked like dog...really busy like prawn lorrr =.=

Kitchen crew are so pity. This kind of job is really disgusting and tiring. A lot more tiring than server assistant. Our hand never stop working until midnight. Baobao didn't change the gloves. This results in allergic and her hand was like an old lady. I helped her to wrapped her fingers with plasters before she went to bed.

Then the next day, we worked breakfast shift. Oh yeah i work for natasha and jonathan...both of them are good servers. Recently i keep working for jonathan. He treats me so good. Carry almost all the big trays for me, and play with me too. Then today i told him about his "matrix" leather jacket. He was so embarassed when i told him " u know what? we always talk about u...." hahahahahaha...he said he loves leather...but too bad summer is coming and we will never see him in his leather coat again...lol

When we nearly finished working, baobao came to me and cried. Haiz poor baobao...This is the story. We felt like the dish job was too tough and tiring, so we decided not to work as dish washers anymore. We wanted to tell the managers. Baobao's section cut earlier today, so she finished her job earlier and went to find the manager. The stupid manager (jessica) said she cannot refused to work as dish washers unless she got medical proof from doctor. @$#%&! Baobao's ten fingers already wrapped with plasters ler...she showed the stupid jessica her hand but she just ignored her. What kind of manager she is!!! So damn inconsiderate...pls help me to curse her...wish her get fired soon!!!

Baobao was so sad...so i must help her. I went to look at the schedule...and bling! A light bulb pop up in my mind. I saw the new server assistants(me and baobao trained them before) who come from south america work breakfast on that day, and baobao's dish schedule is 430pm to close. What i have to do is to find one of them and ask them to work for baobao on that day. And very luckily, i got Pedro! Yeah finally i solved the problem for her. She stopped crying immediately when i told her the news lol. After that we had lunch together with rachel,terrence and dawn them. Terrence introduced two new friends who come from taiwan to us.

We went to general store to buy ice cream again. Ohhhh man my Haagen Daaz~~~ Last time we had chocolate chips with red wine. So today we tried cookies chips with white wine, plus another brand huckleberry ice cream. Wow it was nice. Then we chitchatting until night.

Tommorrow and friday will be our off day! We will go to try our luck for "circle of fire" tour and friday three of us will go to grand teton ^_^

Baobao, jiayen and i went hiking to lonestar geyser. Th 2.6 miles distance took us about two hours to reach because the mountain we hiked was full of snow =.= It was so damn tiring.

Our shopping trip to bozeman. There were 7 of us - me, baobao, jiayen, faith, dawn, rachel and sze ying. When we first reached bozeman, we went to Walmart. It is a very cheap supermarket in USA. We had only 1.5 hours to shop. After that we went to a shopping mall. Shit, half an hour to shop GAP, Nike, Adidas and Old Navy. That made us just grabbed the things and buy. No time to go to the fitting room. And then, we went to Target shopping mall. I bought worm's sony camera there while baobao bought nikon brand one. And i bought my Roxy sweater in the shopping mall opposite to Target. Wah wah wah, i spent USD360++ for shopping today. Heartache @.@

At night, we went to dining room for dessert again to celebrate jenean's birthday. The very nice manager + server ( Kevin O) served us. He is a funny guy. He looks like an asian too. So we had much fun chit chatting and playing.

After that we back to dorm to unpack our shopping stuffs and took photos of them. Luckily all the clothes i bought are fitted to my size...lol

7th june

Today is saturday!!!

Baobao, faith and I went to register for the mammoth and grand teton hiking trip in recreation hall. We were the first to register...yeah!!! Finally, me, baobao, jiayen, faith, rachel, terrence, dawn and louis can travel together. Wohoooo~~~

On the way we back to our dorm, it snowed heavily. Luckily i've prepared well. I wore a set of long jones, a t-shirt, two sweaters and trousers. Hahahahaha....but my face still very cold...it was freezingly cold. We walked and walked and walked back to our dorm. By the time we reached, three of us became "snowgirls". Trust me, I'm not exagerating. My hair, my black sweaters and trousers became white color =.=

Tonight i worked dinner. I was so sad when i saw the arrangement of server and server assistant because i'll work for the disgusting fatty jennifer again. She is the main reason why that day i cried. I saw avril (one of the manager) in the office. I told her before...that i don't wanna work for jennifer anymore. So i went into the office and told her again. Oh then i realized Marcia (another manager) on dinner shift that night. She like me very much. Always smile to me and hug me. They said she is my mum...lol. Avril asked me to tell marcia, and i did it. Oh yeah she swopped me with another SA...and unfortunately...that SA is baobao.

I felt so sorry to baobao. Luckily both of us had to train new SA. And we had nearby sections. So i still can help her. My trainee called Kate. She is a pretty girl from Russia. She is super nice and helpful compared to my ex-trainees (oleksandra and lin) who come from ukrainee and china. Jiayen like the oleksandra very much coz she very pretty and look like a barbie doll. However, she made me almost vomit blood when i trained her. And for lin, most of us don't like her because she is very selfish and only care about money. My servers, Amanda and Alicia treated me quite good tonight. So I didn't feel tired at all.

There was a table of a couple. The husband said i look like a highschool girl when i told him that i'm 20 yrs old. He also asked me if baobao is my sister. He said both of us look alike. I told him that we are totally different. The only similar things between us is that we have the same height....hahahahaha!!!

But then another person mistaken us again. It was the stupid jennifer. She mistaken me as baobao and asked me to serve her customers drinks and bread. I didn't refuse to help her because i felt guilty to baobao :p. After that baobao suddenly appeared in front of her and she was just very confused when she looked at baobao...lol.

Then there was a table of customers who chatted with me when i was pouring water for them. I told them that i will travel to other state of usa after my job. As usual, i told them where and when will i travel...and bla bla bla...they said i looked like 15 yrs old when i told them i'm 20...lol
that lady was just so nice, she praise me sweet and pretty...hahahaha...usually customers will say me cute, lovely...this is the first time ppl say me pretty...wahahahaha

Before they left, OH MY GOD, the two aunties gave me 40 bucks tips!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so surprised and stunned at there. I told them that the tips should be for the servers. But they said, " no no no, we want to give u, we want to help u for ur trip, we hope u enjoy ur trip in usa.....and bla bla bla" WOW WOW WOW...I was so happy and at the same time i felt guilty because they are supposed to be baobao's customers...I was soooo sorry to baobao and i offered to treat her breakfast in dining room before i told her what's going on...hahahaha

8th june

Today lunch shift i worked for cassie and anthony. Both of them are nice servers. I trained a russian again. Before we started working, he asked me a lot of things about servers. Zadao...english so poor and first day work as server assistant already think of the ways to be promoted. It is not that easy to become a server. He is really dreaming. However, i think he is quite willing to learn and he is better than jiayen's barbie doll too :p

When we almost finished working, jonathan came to me and wanted to give me tips. HAHAHAHA another person who mistaken me and baobao again. He was just so confused. Then me and baobao went to find him and told him that we are totally different person. It was so funny that I couldn't stop laughing. By the way, jonathan is a very good server too. He always wear a leather coat...wow look like acting matrix ler...so yao yeng...and he is bald headed with a style mustache...not bad handsome la hahahaha

Woke up at 630am early morning, baojing and I intended to join the tourist bus to travel around yellowstone. The theme of this tour is called "circle of fire". Jiayen wanted to online with gf, so he decided not to join us. There was not many tourists, so we managed to join the tour with 6 other employees. 8 of us are all girls, Baojing met her ex-classmate and her bms seniors while I met the sporean girl who went to usa embassy with me in spore last time. It was such a coincidence!

The bus drove into grant village to pick up more visitors. The next stop was yellowstone lake. It started to rain when we reached there. About 15 minutes later it snowed. We ran out from the lake hotel to take some photos and rushed back again. Snowing really make ppl feel sien =.=

Then we headed to canyon village. We visited the lower falls, upper falls and grand canyon in yellowstone. It was great!! Lower falls was such an amazing beaut. I wish I could explore all the trails of the village if there is any other chance to visit to this fantastic place again. I really love it sooo much!!! (Photos will be uploaded in facebook in the future :p)

After that we went to the other attractions. We saw bisons and elks again. This time I had lost my interest to them. I was too lazy to take photos of them again as they are considered quite common and easily-to-be-found animals here. Saw them for too many times already :p

On the way, we saw a lot of people standing along the roadside and focusing their super professional camera with tripod to the hills. They were waiting for bears and wolves. However, we didn't see anything because the bus have to reach the oher places on time.

There was a couple sat behind us. The husband is american and the wife is taiwanese. Surprisingly, the husband can speak mandarin very well. His pronunciation didn't have any "guai lou" slang. So geng, his wife must be very proud of him.

I was so tired that i fell asleep immediately everytime i got into bus. Then there was 30 minutes visit to some mudspots, geysers and hot springs. I found that I'd totally have no more interest on them lol. The little rain outside made me rather sleep in the bus.

The whole tour was nice but quite rush. We just visited the main attractions in each village. And i think it is not that worth for the tourists to sign for this trip. I began to notice how important it is to have a car in yellowstone.

It is Friday again! We went to recreation hall to register for new trips. There is a trip to grand teton on 20th june. My dream place!!!!!!! However, we went there late and there was 3 vacancies left only. Aiks...so sien...cannot travel together with rachel, dawn, louis, terrence and faith. They let me, baojing and jiayen sign for the trips. We were so disappointed. There are hundreds of employees in old faithful but only 9 vacancies for this trip. How stupid it is!

Nvm la...14th june still can go bozeman shopping with them. Heard faith said that bozeman does not need government tax because that place is too "kampung". I want to buy a lot of things hohoho~~~

27th May

Yohohoho...finally i went to biscuit basin today. Jiayen n baojing work dinner shifts, so faith accompany me to go there. The weather was good, no more snowing lu~ So we just spent about two and half hours back and forth.

After two weeks in old faithful, i feel quite sien about the geyser and springs now. Not feeling excited anymore when there is any geyser erupt, lol. There are still some places that i wish i could go and explore in old faithful. They are observation point of the hill, Mystic falls and Fairy falls.

Oh ya...kok wai should be in yellowstone now. But he didn't contact me. If anyone sees him online please ask him to find me, thanks ya!

23rd May

Went Mammoth village with Amanda, Faith, Baojing and Jiayen. Mammoth is a small place. The scenery is great. We spent 1.5 hours on the trails to see the beautiful hot springs. However, some of them are dry except spring season. So nothing much to see. After that Amanda fetch us to Gardiner to have dinner. We ate CHINESE FOOD!!!!! Taste well but quite salty.

I don't really understand Americans. They love to eat salty food. Their bacon and ham and many other food are all damn salty =.= They love cold drinks also, we still serve ice water everyday even when it is snowing. We asked Amanda why...and she said, "ice water taste better" =.=lll really zadao...

The second thing is, they love alcohol, very very much. I think half of their whole life is in drunk condition. The third one, smoking. Almost everyone smokes here. And not only them, those girls who come from england and ukraine also smoke. It is just like a trend, no, a very common habit, or lifestyle in western country.

Luckily i'm not one of them...

Today after my lunch shift, baojing, jiayen, faith and I went hiking. Oh yeah, we had a lot of fun and played all along the trail. We took a lot of photos...really a lot -- each of us brought our own camera, and each camera contained about 100 photos...lol. At night, we went to the old faithful dining room (our working place) to have dessert. Haha...it was so weird. We are customers now. At lunch time, i'm still Joe's server assistant. But at night, I become his customer and he has to serve me. Wahahahahaha...the desserts are so so so delicious. It was a happy day ^_^

Today i'm going to talk about bao jing.

Baobao is a cute little girl. Yesterday night before we sleep, jiayen said something to baobao. He said that there will be "someone" watching at her from the window. This sentence made baobao had a nightmare that night. Wahahahahaha~~~ Baobao kept asking him to close the window. And she dared not to sleep before he did so. Then today jiayen and i had breakfast and lunch shifts. Baobao stayed in the room alone. She still remenbered that sentence very well and dared not to open the window for whole day. LOL

And big yesterday night when me and jiayen had dinner shifts, baobao got "yan yu". She went to a handsome guy's room and played poker with that guy and his friends. She admired that guy so much that she kept mentioning it to me when i came back from work. Geng ler...a little tiny girl went into a room with all "guai lou". She really "dim"...被帅哥迷得昏头昏脑....hahahaha

Today during breakfast shift, jiayen and his trainee Carlos helped me a lot. I aprreciate it very very much T_T. So after that i share a little bit of my tips to his trainee. After lunch shifts I wanted to go hiking with jiayen. But then the road blocked by the rangers because people saw a bear around that area. So sien cannot go hiking =.=

13th May

Yesterday was my off day. Baojing work breakfast lunch and jiayen dinner. I spent the whole morning sleeping while jiayen was msn-ing with his gf. After that it was his turn to sleep and i spent my afternoon playing viwawa and online.

We had dinner at 4 because jiayen had to work at 430pm. I asked baojing to watch the "old faithful" geyser together when sunset. Oh forgot to mention the sun here. It is rising everyday at 5am and setting at 9pm. We also asked another server assistant (singaporean- faith or wan ai) to go together with us. She was planning to go to the general store. So we met up there at 530 and started our photographing journey. Wahahaha~

We took a lot of photos with snow because we were afraid that there won't be any snow scenery soon. We went into the old faithful snow lodge and met a couple with their baby. She is such a beautiful baby. So we took a photo with her lol. We walked around in the snow lodge and then went to "old faithful" inn. Old faithful inn is the oldest building in old faithful. It is an ancient building made by wooden. We took jiayen's yao yeng photo during working hahaha. Later on we went for the sunset geyser before hiking. It was a great experience.

When the sky turning dark, we walked to the old faithful inn again. We heard a fire alarm when we were shopping in the gift shop. Faith said she saw smoke at somehwere. Everyone was evacuated outside the inn. Some family came out with their pyjamas and thin shirt. It was so cold. We saw them shivering and squeezing together. Fireman came and solved the problem in a couple minutes. We were told that the smoke was caused by chemical spills. Jiayen so pity...first day work dinner shift already met this problem. Our new schedule also out. This week me n jiayen got the same off day. But baojing is different =.=. She is trying to swop with other people so that three of us can travel together around here. And i got 4 dinner shifts this week. Baojing got 3 and jiayen got 1 only. Dinner shift can earn a lot tips lo...jiayen really so pity aiks....

12th May

Yesterday was Monday. I worked for breakfast and lunch session. Jiayen off and baojing dinner. Oh man, it was 6am in the morning and outside was snowing heavily. I can see the snow flew horizontally in the sky and the wind was just so strong. The staircase and the ground were full with snow and it was so slippery.

During working, i began to know a girl called Rubyn. She is a pretty and friendly girl. She is a bit taller than Jiayen and was his trainer in the first day. Haha jiayen so syok...got a leng lui teach him. Jiayen and Baojing think that she has a sexy lips. Hmm i think she is very sweet too. We chit-chatted a lot when there is not many customers. We also help each other to carry dirty items and set tables. Felt quite good and happy to know her.

When I back from work, I saw Jiayen waiting for me in the staff canteen. I was surprised when he said that we have already moved to the new dormitory. Oh yeah so happy. Finally we can stay in the same room. ^_^

After that, baojing went to work. Two of us went to the general store and gift shop. Oh shit, snowing again. Strong wind and very very cold. =.= Found a lot expensive souvenirs there. The jackets and sweaters are so nice. So I will buy one for myself before i leave lol.

11th May

Today is Sunday. The schedule of our job for this week was released yesterday. Jiayen and baojing got almost same working time. And me? totally different la so sien. They work for breakfast and dinner session today while mine is dinner. =.= Then our off day is --- jiayen : monday ; me : tuesday ; baojing : wednesday . @.@ So i got nothing to do now, sienzzz.

Breakfast and lunch session cannot earn more than dinner session. People usually tips more for dinner. After few days, we've made some friends here. Two sporean - Dawn and Kai lun, they are worm's coursemates, what a coincidence lol. And a few msian - my ex-coursemate(phoebe)'s ex-roommate (pui ee or rachel) , evelyn , sze ying , terrence and another girl i forget her name :p. They accompanied me to have breakfast just now coz baojing n jiayen were away for work. They are quite nice and friendly. And we've known some americans, one of them - jenean is a pretty and nice girl. She taught me a lot of things about our job. I work for different servers everyday. Some are nice but some are not so. But my conclusion is, guys are more helpful and more generous. I got more tips from guys than gals.

The dining inn is a lot more highclass than my previous employer in msia. We must tie our hair in a bun, keep our nails clean and wear uniform appropriately. Everyday beore working, we must line up in a two rows an let our manager to have uniform check. All the food and rubbish must be differentiated and dump into different trash for recycle use. The trays here are big. Everything is just so heavy. When we clean the tables, we have to put the super big tray beside the table, put everything onto the tray, set the table and then carry the tray into the kitchen for cleaning. The problem is, the tray is really so damn heavy and big that everyone has to use their shoulders to carry the weight. So you can imagine how hard it is for me to carry these. Baojing is a lot more lucky. Everytime she put the used glasses and dishes onto the tray, there will have people to help her to carry into the kitchen. And she got more tips than us also.

Yesterday night, I worked for two servers - jeff and jonathan. Both of them looked friendly. But jeff is more helpful than jon. Overall both of them are better than my previous attached servers. I broke two wine glasses ytd. It was my first time. I hit the wall in the kitchen when i was carrying the tray on my shoulder. But it doesn't matter. Those very tall guys break more glasses than me before that lol.

7th-8th May

Today, we were fetched by the YNP shuttle bus to Yellowstone early morning. We registered at the office located at North part of YNP. It took about two hours ride to the office and we had our procedure done and got our uniform there. Then we went south to our assigned village. On the way, we dropped at "mammoth" village to have lunch.

I'm working in "old faithful village" of yellowstone national park. The place is famous with geysers and hot springs. We reached there at about 3pm and were told that we will start working in the next day. So we walked around to explore the attractions. We saw many people waiting at the "old faithful" geyser. It was so lucky for us that we watched the very first eruption of geyser in Yellowstone. The scenery was gorgeous. Water burst very high up into the sky. After the geyser show, we went to explore other geysers and springs. Strong wind blew upon us and we feel very cold as we were only wearing t-shirt and thin sweater.
When we were visiting this visitor center, it began to rain. Surprisingly, the rain slowly changes to snow. It became extremely cold that we couldn't stop shivering. We had no choice but walked back to our hostel under the heavy snow. Wow...i don't know if it is lucky or not. We experienced snow falling in the very first day we reach here. The weather is just too extreme. Luckily, we still survived under the heavy snow...phew~ but it gave us a lesson. We started to understand the importance of umbrella and wind sweater.

Oh let’s talk about the dormitory. We were told that there was no any empty room in this week. So we got different room. Jiayen and I were so unlucky. Our rooms are triple sharing one and they are so messy and dirty. Fortunately baojing got a double room and her room is clean and nice. I moved my stuffs into her room and share a bed with her.

The next day at around 7.30am, we started our job as server assistant. It was training day. We were separated into two teams which are team A and team B. Both teams serve each other for breakfast. Jiayen and I were in A team while baojing was in B team. I had a buffet breakfast and paid with a fake credit card given by boss. For the dinner, I got 7 bucks tips in 3 hours, and I ordered the most expensive dish(31 bucks) in the menu when it was my turn to have dinner. I ate a half-cooked bison (a cow-like animal). It tasted not bad, but pretty hard to bite.

My first experience to USA

5th may to 6th may

First flight - from Singapore to Taipei
Second flight - from Taipei to San Francisco
Third flight - from SF to Salt lake city
Fourth flight - from SLC to Bozeman
Then - shuttle bus from Bozeman to Yellowstone

So it is. My journey to Yellowstone National Park. It took about 2 working days to reach here. During our flight, tv is available in the first flight. Second flight is very torturing because it took 11 hours, and our neck, waist and butt were so pain after so many hours of flight. After that, we waited in SF airport for a whole night to transfer the flight in the next morning. We met some problems in the third flight. Jiayen's boarding pass was missing during the custom check up. It was the mistake of the staff and finally his boarding pass was reprinted. USA custom check up was very strict that we have to pass through an "explosive door" just to make sure we didn't bring any explosive items. We had to take off our shoes and our bags were also checked thoroughly. A lady and a bus driver were waiting for us when we reached Bozeman. We did some procedure for our job and checked in to a hotel called "Holiday Inn". Three of us had our first paid meal in "Arby's burger". Then, 7.30am in the next day, we started our journey to YNP.
